Postfix non-production snapshot postfix-2.3-20060516-milter implements
the Sendmail 8 Milter protocol. This makes a wide range of applications
available to reject unwanted mail, to verify authenticity (examples:
SenderID, SPF, Domain keys) and to sign mail (example: Domain
keys).
This meets one of the goals for Postfix 2.3, which was to provide
support for Domain key authentication.
See http://www.porcupine.org/postfix-mirror/MILTER_README.html for
configuration, workarounds and limitations.
The code has been tested for the past several days, but it needs
further review to ensure that it will always behave under all
possible conditions. For this reason the code is not yet running
on my own mail server, but only on my personal workstations.
I'm looking for feedback on how usable this code is, and what it
would take to make life easier for people who want to use Postfix
with off-the-shelf Milter applications.
