Its on Centos 4.4 using MD and SA rpms from dag repo.
Yes, it was solved by doing a:
service mimedefang restart
from the console.
The problem just appears after a reboot. As you said, it must be
a variable problem.
Will use the tip:
export HOME=/home/defang/
in /etc/init.d/mimedefang
