It's probably trigerring on the ".com" in www.example.com.  The
filename-extension code may be a tad trigger-happy.

That said, it's bad form to include directory components in a filename
in a MIME message.  User-agents are supposed to handle it correctly
(and not attempt to create directories), but you never know...

He'll attach the file locally, instead.
