> in the future, a GUI tool might appear to help edit that file.they do ... your /etc/sysconfig/mimedefang file tells which filter file to use ... but the main problem was that even the filter itself should not be overwritten as declared in the specfile, so the changes where made to /usr/bin/mimedefang.pl i suppose which was replace by the update.
