Frankly, making the message subject be the "file name" is itself "total braindeath". IMO, it's not a matter of fixing security holes on a braindead platform. It's fixing a braindead piece of software on all of its platforms.
It's a text file. Name it messageX.txt (where X is an integer, in case there are multiple messages being attached).
