An RFC 2822 validator is (IMO) pointless. The mail RFCs, especially
anything related to MIME, are so badly specified and have so many unspecified
edge-cases that rejecting a so-called "invalid" message for not conforming
to the RFC would render you unable to communicate with a significant
fraction of the Internet.

RFC 2231 is a particular low point for the IETF, in my opinion. What the
H*LL were they thinking?? You have no idea the grief we went through to
make MIME::Tools handle that in a semi-reasonable way.

Regards,

David.
