Guilty as charged Rob, in fact the first word "filter_path", apologies, that was not very clever of me. I saw "filter_path" and immediately assumed that it meant mimedefang_filter. I then went looking at the init.d script and the mimedefang.conf file. In fact the answer lies in the fact that my /usr/bin mimedefang.pl file is the same as my copy on /etc/mail. I have two identical copies. Would a symbolic link make sense if I wanted to keep my script in /etc/mail do you think?
