[Shameless Plug] Our commercial CanIt software has a dictionary-attack
detector built in that firewalls off hosts that send to too many invalid
recipients.

We detect valid recipients in a variety of ways (depending on the setup)
including SMTP call-forwards, LDAP, etc.
