Renaming it will be just as expensive as copying it, assuming that you're running /var/spool/MIMEDefang in a ramdisk and you're renaming it to a location *not* on the ramdisk. (One assumes you want to move a valuable message off the ramdisk!) Have you looked at CanIt?
