Hello, We receive messages from a system that sends e-mails with a blank Reply-To: and CC: lines, and (I think) mimedefang is rejecting them.
This is what I see logged on my system: Apr 10 08:04:57 mx sendmail[1400]: q3AF4uDC001400: collect: premature EOM: unexpected close Apr 10 08:04:57 mx sendmail[1400]: q3AF4uDC001400: collect: unexpected close on connection from bolt7b.mxthunder.net, sender=<[email protected]> Apr 10 08:04:57 mx sendmail[1400]: q3AF4uDC001400: from=<[email protected]>, size=1414, class=0, nrcpts=1, proto=ESMTP, daemon=MTA, relay=bolt7b.mxthunder.net [208.53.48.191] And this is what our upstream mail handler gets: Apr 10 08:04:56 bolt7b postfix/qmgr[7514]: 84A992DE6267: from=<[email protected]>, size=2127, nrcpt=1 (queue active) Apr 10 08:04:57 bolt7b postfix/smtp[7715]: 84A992DE6267: to=<[email protected]>, relay=XXXX.thermeon.com[1.2.3.4]:25, delay=43, delays=42/0/0.06/0.94, dsn=5.7.1, status=bounced (hostXXXX.thermeon.com[1.2.3.4] said: 554 5.7.1 This message has been blocked because the return email domain is invalid.(domain name has invalid syntax) (in reply to end of DATA command)) The e-mail addresses in the envelope look fine as do the To: and From: headers in the body. However, the Reply-To: and CC: headers in the body are blank: ... To: [email protected] Subject: GTT Portal User Registration From: [email protected] Reply-To: CC: X-Mailer: PHP/5.3.8 MIME-Version: 1.0 ... What can I change to allow these to come through?
