I believe the stream_by_XXX functions are Sendmail-specific and are very difficult, if not impossible, to get working with Postfix. They rely on Sendmail 8.12+'s split-queue approach. I don't believe Postfix resubmits locally-generated mail to the SMTP daemon, so stream_by_XXX won't (can't) work.
