Do you know where I can find filter examples for mimedefang? It doesn't seem to 
be working (or doing anything). 

Actually, are there any special configs that need to be done to get it to work 
with Axigen?

Do I point Axigen to the multiplexor .sock or just mimedefang.sock? 

I initially had it running as defang UID but I've since changed it to 'axigen'.
