Ah, I see. Sorry I am not familiar with British culture. The article you linked to also mentioned a trend in Britain. The word has been turned into a keepsake for the young British Pakistani community that is not acceptable for someone outside the community to say it, including Indians and Bangladeshis." One of those exclusive words, like "Nigger". Where someone who is black can call another black the name, but a white cannot call them the name. Or in other words, reverse discrimination. Two wrongs don't make a right.
