I'm still experiencing the shock that I tried so hard to dismiss and so it has come to the point where I must dump it off here in the hope that I may never have to think about it again. I provided a service through reference from someone else for what turned out to be service for none other than a retired colonel. They were very nice people and I didn't know anything about them until it was time for them to write out the check and that is when I noticed the designation of colonel. That is really not the point but simply a small window for you to understand the circumstances. Before I left I asked the colonel what he thought about the Gaza situation. He coldly stated that we should sweep through the region and wipe out every last breath of the Hamas. I made note about the innocent people that were losing their lives on the account of these attacks. The response was simply stated in a cool collective manner with the shrug of the shoulders, "well they elected and support the Hamas so they get what they deserve". Wipe them all out he continued, and as I thanked him for his business I realized that people with a military consciousness have not concern for humanity other than that of wiping out all those whose consciousness does not coincide with theirs. I felt that it was not different from the KKK. I could not wait to get the hell out of there and resume my peaceful life but I couldn't kick it. It hung on me like skunk scent and continues to disturb me. It reminds me of the story about the frog and the scorpion. It was raining really hard and the stream grew large. The scorpion stood at the bank wanting to cross. The frog told the scorpion that he would swim him across on his back if he promised not to sting him. The scorpion agreed and the crossing took place but when they reached the other side the scorpion stung the frog. In his dismay he asked the scorpion, why did you sting me when I offered to get you across? The scorpion responded in a similarly cold fashion by simply stating "because I'm a scorpion". I wonder, does this mean that those with the consciousness of war and killing will continue to create an environment conducive to war and killing to satiate their desire to kill. In retrospect I look back and realize that that is exactly what has been going on for years. Covert CIA operations specifically designed to create war environments to support the military industrial machine that churns away our lives.
