Without doubt, and this trauma generally seems to result in people
shutting down their mental processes, forsaking their reason, talents
and abilities in favor of the very beliefs and practices that
inflicted the trauma. Is this not the same majority that held our
last President in such esteem? Are these not the same flock so
tenderly cared for by the bishop with his crook and crown? The
Vatican or a Mullah speaks and millions bend their knee and beat their
breasts or go beat someone else's. It's a vicious cycle that may as
you say be impossible to bottom.

However, I am not the only one to notice that Obama included non-
believers in his Inauguration address. Maybe it's not so impossible
after all because, after all, fifty three percent of them elected
him. Go BO! I think he is the one.

I've noticed that it often takes some inspired leader to move us
forward to the next level of society and civilization, someone to come
forward and -- like prayer and meditation can be used -- inspires us,
galvanizes us to a greater effort resulting in a higher state of
being. Not all of us, but enough to make it significant, to make it
work. I just happen to think Obama's the one for this time and this
place. But I'm not alone in that belief, obviously.
