One might say cold fusion floats again - though it was never actually sunk (I couldn't resist these metaphors as the US Navy did much of the research after the Fleischman-Pons idiocy). There is similar encouragement in using aluminium "shapes" to electrolyse water. I don't know how close anyone is to a commercial reality, but the science is not nonsense.
