I was once given a Special Patrol Group tie at some drunken police bash in London. It had PIG emblazoned on it - Pride, Integrity and Guts. For some reason, my Fast Action Response Team and Technical Weapons And Tactics Squad were reduced to the Tactical Aid Group (now the We'll Shoot You First and Ensure No Questions Are Asked Afterwards Team) and no ties were issued in our kit. The SPG was the forerunner of the Metropolitan Police's new thug group that killed an innocent bystander and slapped a number of women about at the G20 protests. I may be considered no threat now I'm off the active list, but watch out Slip - I still have that tie! (not really, it clashed with what personality I'll admit to).
