Yikes! A Roman gladiator? But seriously- you have a point. Taking out
an opponent or enemy from a distance with a weapon or sheaf of legal
documents leaves something unanswered in heinous cases. Or silence/
shunning. I suppose there is a need to depersonalize brute violence/
revenge with distance and interpose legal and social systems to
disperse the fury unleashed.
