That's part of the problem we're dealing with in the SPAM posts issue. There's no moderation on it because Spammers have found a way to fool Google's group system. It's affecting many groups right now, and we're waiting for Google to effect a fix. Here's one of the posts on the Google "Is Something Broken" group which details what's going on, and lists a few other groups also affected.
