The poem below was written by me when I was about 15. The premiss was that it represented the 'Last Will and Testament' of God, if God were in a position to die and leave the world to its own devices. Hopefully, it will speak for itself, but, as always, all questions/ comments are welcome...and I do mean ALL.
And, yes, Molly, if you want to, you can post it on your blogsite. ;-) To All Posterity Herein I, being of sound mind and being, do bequeath the following in accordance to my will: To my brothers: the knowledge of the Self, for without knowing yourself, you can attain nothing. To my sisters: patience, the rest will soon follow. To my fathers: the pen, to chronicle all that has and will happen ad infinitum. To my mothers: foreboding, for posterity lies nestled in your wombs. To the world of politics: a key that fits no lock, in order to stagnate your impulsive ego. To the world of science: the macrocosm, so you know your limits. To the world of religion: a mirror, knowing full well you'll not look into its cold, glassy stare. To the makers of war: shame, for you only rape yourselves. To the makers of peace: the watches of the time-keepers of the Gates of Marduk, for time is surely on your side. To the false martyrs: the oceans of the world, for you'll surely drown yourselves. To the makers of song: thanksgiving, for only you show man's true face. To the poets: the answers to all the questions, for, if anyone, you deserve it. To the speechmakers: the truth, so they may herald it to ends unknown.
