On the spelling DJ I always try to come into the group using Google
Chrome as it has a spell check.  Not that we should give a monkey's.

Some people do seem to be very unusual and bright.  I knew people as
an undergraduate who could do 'very hard sums' in minutes that took me
hours.  Computers now do them even quicker.  It may be that there is a
lot more creativity and ability around than we dare admit too and that
schools do a good job in suppressing it all.  Animal groups have
innovators too.  We are all, in a sense, born with abilities with
numbers.  I know some parents who are so crass they would beat their
kids for displaying more talent than they have.  Maybe Gauss was lucky
in this respect?
