After viewing the advert you linked, I have pre-ordered the paperback (due out January 31st) from Amazon for just $26.40. But now I ask myself, "Why do I want this book?" One answer is, "Because I appreciate the beauty and perfection which the book reveals." At any rate, I have been led to expect that it will lead me towards beauty (in the photos and the ideas) and perfection (in the mathematical relationships which are illustrated and described.) Marketing, the technology that is based upon the science of Social Psychology, has become such a powerful and ubiquitous force in our world that we often do not realize that we are being manipulated or how we actually came to a decision. I personally prefer word of mouth and personal recommendations as a means for choosing what books are worth perusing, so, because I have an idea of who you are from your comments here, I feel comfortable with accepting your recommendation to check out this book.
