The conscious dual-identity, for example a human being, is like a bubble in a pond. The lifetime of a bubble ends and only water remains. The Atma or Soul in us is like water and we are like bubbles. Our existense is for the lifetime of the body whereas Atma was always there and will always be there. The one Atma upholds the entire creation.The creation and parts of creation are just manifestations and are not real in the sense that they have a beginning and an end. Whereas Atma is unborn and eternal. A manifestation has a boundary or duality, whereas Atma has no boundary and is non-dual.
