I find it extremely interesting that instead of focusing on solving the problem and preventing it there seems to be quite a lot of interest in assigning blame. We'll have plenty of time for that when we aren't pumping 100's of thousands of gallons of oil into the Gulf. The supposition that this disaster is one man's fault is patently ridiculous. Unless it was sabotage(highly unlikely) accidents like this are a combination of many failures. Both by men and mechanical usually. Personally, I still can't wrap my head around not having a bypass or at least isolation valves periodically placed along the route. Too expensive, I guess.
