Whales were supplanted by Pennsylvania petroleum but you can't tax whales so I'm sure there will be hell to pay for the oil spill. The same would occur with a nuclear power plant meltdown. Yes- business gives consumers what they want and will buy- plus there are benefits to the state economies. Have they cleaned up that massive coal ash spill yet? Probably not. And AK has still not recovered from the Exxon- Valdez 20 years later. The fresh water supply is going to be a monumental problem- worldwide. So it goes...
