Blundering CIA so what else is new.. most of the problems were amplified by The Regan era and the direct policies of Republican parties administration which have been very self centered and not paying attention to what was going on..
You also have to remember that though wwII helped finish off the depression ,, it was the Bush -Iraq war that tillted the economy in the wrong direction doubling the US national debt whichhad gon up ( 9 times since Regan the only time it went down was when Clinton was at the helm.. and the Republicans hated him.) Wwr is not the solver of depression but sound physical and economic policies. simple ones like not spending more than you bring in.. paying off your debt.. start taxing the rich and corporations that are over seas to avoid taxes.. place like a 35% tax on all money over $2000.oo per month leaving the countries.
