Thanks, all for your support.  I'm back in the UK, now.  However, on
my first day back to work, I discovered that I'm being made redundant
(British speak for "You're being laid off").  So, on Sept. 30th, I'll
be out of a job and, 2 days later, my lease expires, so I'll be
jobless and homeless.  Can't lose much else.  ;-)

I think my time in the UK is quickly running out, as, unless I can
find alternative employment in 5 weeks time (which is nigh on
impossible when you have no car with which to get to interviews at
short notice), I'll have to run back to the States and live with my
sister as it's the only roof I can guarantee would be put over my
head.  And, of course, this means leaving my children, which I NEVER
wanted to do.  Nice double whammy, eh?  Still, gotta love the way this
universe works, always throwing curve balls.  I certainly can't
complain that my life is boring.  ;-)
