One of many advantages to being a "senior" is that you can retrace your steps/life and see the influences that led to one decision/action or another. Better prepare a forgiving heart. And, sometimes those quips of wisdom from parents were right- folk wisdom passed along. But youth generally feels it can beat the odds so it tries.
