Well, I thought it was on level ground with genetics, but I took a little
humor in your solution too. Just FYI I do consider the genetics serious and
it is a great leveler. It just seems our means outgrew our ends in that
sense, perhaps we should revise the equation of life to better suit the
environment. It wouldn't be the first time we did so in various cultures and
there are some very beneficial changes we could make. Some of the
advancements also require a shift in focus of commercial and entrepreneurial
endeavour and I think we are at the edge of making technological innovations
that precipitate those changes.

'Rep-rap'-like nanofacturing is one, medical advancements to grow
replacement organs and tissues another, advancements into social
administrative structures that implement reliable and scientifically
selected meritocratic elections is another (if for no other reason than to
promote prime candidates). Any one of these could be used to make our
destruction of the Earth more efficient so we can populate even more- yearly
body part swaps become the norm, removing more barriers to disease
propogation and creating further disparity and slavery to credit backed
medical insurance slavery... It is a delicate balance, but we need informed
people in power without a doubt and we need an informed populace, but we
also need something to inform them of, and a unifying
vision/language/undertaking. Everything should be in place, at this point
the systems built to sustain humanity are resembling a parasitic dependence,
perhaps power structures mostly always were, but this I think is the axial
dimension to propel us into an indefinite future even though my rendition is
sparse. It should be feasible and will take a lot of hard and dirty work.
There's a lot more to say but I'll take a breath-
