'That wascawwy wabbit!' My 3yr old had fun hunting for eggs. The downside of doing it inside, be sure you have a count when you begin. Nobody likes those little surprise stinky crunches a couple months later. :))
As for any religious question we consider it entirely secular, perhaps we might teach him about various religions but at his age it just seems wrong except to explain that many people have different beliefs. I imagine there will be many free rabbits in the want-ads (aka Craig's List) in a month or so. It is a funny thought that I'd go through all the work of making cages, feeding, playing and caring for the furry things and not have the heart to kill 'em to eat.
