Nuts indeed Allan - I've just paid another $5 for a programme that resets the W8 start up back to W7! Saved me an hour or so tinkering with registry and possibly an age if I hit a wrong button in there. Said prog allows me to replace the windows icon with an 'up yours' variety and to put bits of the control panel I use into the start menu.
Touch screens won't interest me until speech to text is good enough to get rid of keyboards. Even if they get this somewhere near right I suspect I'd want a keyboard for editing. I am looking at a non-box system (its really on the back of the monitor). In ready made ones you lose a lot of computing power, so I'm thinking self-build. This would replace our TV. There was a new browser called Maxthon3 in the package. Seems a bit quicker than Chrome. I may leave Chrome because i-Google is going and am not happy about new google groups either. Maybe time we looked for an alternative host?
