Right on Mando. You hit the nail right on the head. 
I would simplify the entire discussion on free will vs. destiny by saying 
that free will makes sense of life while destiny just makes a senseless 
movie of it.  
Is there any way to prove that we have free will? 
Is there any way to prove that we just follow fate?
Perhaps the truth lies somewhere in the middle. 
One freedom that everyone has is the freedom to think and believe whatever 
they want to think and believe.
