I am not even sure what begat Allan - though I usually appreciate the lad.
Religions strike me as bad copies of some lost original. Islam may have
come from Berber Jews who sacked Jerusalem and Constantinople (remember
that awful joke 'Constantinople is a very long word, spell it'?) and wanted
their own religion of Empire. Christianity may be Flavianism, invented by
colonising Romans. What religion would we make now, with at least some
people not swayable by some sales pitch from a guy with a hat and a golden
salamander? Currently, science would be a better religion than the real
one - economics.

Lowering expectations of Al might be a bit like unleashing vacuum energy.
Just when you think you've sunk as low as you can get, you find emptiness
is only a misguided statistic of the full. Salem allez cul we might say in
greeting Arabic, yet what does it write as French? Words may not be the
man. One needs to be more conceptual with Allan. Think of the letters
under that Mona Lisa with the Salvador Dali moustache Tony. Or that
British guy who lived with his mother, believed in fairies and yet
developed the Fighter Command that saw off the Luftwaffe. From small
acorns grow the might oak!
