Are you contributing to a meaningful conversation or just dictating to others?
I read Neil's Lament and gleaned a great deal .. but then again i also know both parties involved. And enjoy his styles of writing of writing.. Yes I am master of my soul and i would have serious reservation that you ever could.. But that will stop you from trying.. Prose can be good poetry on rare occasions .. true, but is mostly not.
