In my earlier comments I focused on the populist immigrant issue. There is
also, more importantly, the economic issue. No doubt in the short run
things will be difficult for England. However, as one poster commented in
the WSJ "Coupling one's future prospects, let along your national identity,
to a system that has kicked the can full of Greek, Italian and Spanish
bankruptcy down to road is more than pragmatic.    It is more like averting
a gruesome and fatal disease." I'm an open trade, open borders guy
generally but the decision to let Greece get away with lying their way into
the EU set an extremely bad example and I totally get why Briton wants out.
Ireland and Scotland will decide their own fate but I, for one, stand with
England on this one. Good show Old Chaps. Good show. 24 June, Independance
