I notice this problem when trying to build openexr package with the
automated build mingw64...
if you run:
i686-w64-mingw32-gcc -print-search-dirs
you get and output similar to this:
install:
/Volumes/Data/Users/hradec/dev/svn/cortex4all/trunk/compilers/darwin.mingw32.4.6.0_20100528/bin/../lib/gcc/i686-w64-mingw32/4.6.0/
programs:
=/Volumes/Data/Users/hradec/dev/svn/cortex4all/trunk/compilers/darwin.mingw32.4.6.0_20100528/bin/../libexec/gcc/i686-w64-mingw32/4.6.0/:/Volumes/Data/Users/hradec/dev/svn/cortex4all/trunk/compilers/darwin.mingw32.4.6.0_20100528/bin/../libexec/gcc/:/Volumes/Data/Users/hradec/dev/svn/cortex4all/trunk/compilers/darwin.mingw32.4.6.0_20100528/bin/../lib/gcc/i686-w64-mingw32/4.6.0/../../../../i686-w64-mingw32/bin/i686-w64-mingw32/4.6.0/:/Volumes/Data/Users/hradec/dev/svn/cortex4all/trunk/compilers/darwin.mingw32.4.6.0_20100528/bin/../lib/gcc/i686-w64-mingw32/4.6.0/../../../../i686-w64-mingw32/bin/
libraries:
=/Volumes/Data/Users/hradec/dev/svn/cortex4all/trunk/compilers/darwin.mingw32.4.6.0_20100528/bin/../lib/gcc/i686-w64-mingw32/4.6.0/:/Volumes/Data/Users/hradec/dev/svn/cortex4all/trunk/compilers/darwin.mingw32.4.6.0_20100528/bin/../lib/gcc/:/Volumes/Data/Users/hradec/dev/svn/cortex4all/trunk/compilers/darwin.mingw32.4.6.0_20100528/bin/../lib/gcc/i686-w64-mingw32/4.6.0/../../../../i686-w64-mingw32/lib/i686-w64-mingw32/4.6.0/:/Volumes/Data/Users/hradec/dev/svn/cortex4all/trunk/compilers/darwin.mingw32.4.6.0_20100528/bin/../lib/gcc/i686-w64-mingw32/4.6.0/../../../../i686-w64-mingw32/lib/../lib/:/Users/jchesney/mingw-w64-buildslave/darwin-x86-x86/build/build/root/mingw/lib/i686-w64-mingw32/4.6.0/:/Users/jchesney/mingw-w64-buildslave/darwin-x86-x86/build/build/root/mingw/lib/../lib/:/Volumes/Data/Users/hradec/dev/svn/cortex4all/trunk/compilers/darwin.mingw32.4.6.0_20100528/bin/../lib/gcc/i686-w64-mingw32/4.6.0/../../../../i686-w64-mingw32/lib/:/Users/jchesney/mingw-w64-buildslave/darwin-x86-x86/build/build/root/mingw/lib/
Notice the last path in the "libraries" searchpath...
"/Users/jchesney/mingw..."
I have no such path on my system, so I'm assuming this is a path from the
original build that got imprinted on the binary somehow... make sense?
Its being quite annoying to deal with this since libtool keeps trying to
check libstdc++.la on that path, which as I don't have, just fails...
I'm running the latest mingw binary for macos...
cheers...
