Hi,
I noticed on the mingw-w64.sourceforge.net SVN feed that Kai is adding
pthread stuff to the mingw-w64 package. I presume this is either a) a better
pthreads-win32 that actually is actively developed (as the original project
is pretty dead), or b) preperations to allow GCC to implement its gthread
internal API through a win32 compat layer provided by the mingw-w64 CRT, so
that OpenMP and of course std::thread functionality will not require
pthread-win32 anymore?
If I'm right on one of these (and one implies the other kind of...), this is
great news! Kudos for Kai!
Ruben, currently building an in-tree GCC 4.6 without graphite, because
(cloog-)ppl are not cooperating :(
