Doesn't build for me .... actually, it builds ok (ie 'make' works), but the 
library that's built is unusable because of undefined references to the gmpn 
symbols.

I've spent the last couple of hours trying to post to their google forum (as 
sprecified in the docs). What's the secret to getting thru ? All I can see 
at http://groups.google.com/group/mpir-devel is an option to post an email 
to the group - but my emails bounce, even after having joined the group. 
Christ, I hate google.groups !!

Looks like mpir provides better assembly support for mingw64 than gmp - 
hence my interest in getting it to work.
