For GCC, it means there will be non-prefixed executables (gcc.exe vs
x86_64-w64-mingw32-gcc.exe, this is handy for building any non-autotools
project), and any other benefits of a non-optimized-for-64-bit 64-bit app
(extended registers, can address more than 2 GB of memory... This is
important for ld in some situations).
