Use 'g++ -mwindows -lgdi32 -lcomctl32 -lcomdlg32 <filename>.cpp -o
<filename>' instead. If you leave out -mwindows, GCC defaults to -mconsole
and you get a console window. The same applies to msvc with the /subsystem
commandline option.
