Sure, it is a good thing that MS changed strategy about this. It is always good to see that things can change, if enough people are wanting it. I admit that the IDE of VS is pretty nice. I just know about old VS' IDE (5/6), which was already at this time in many aspects a great development environment. So I can imagine that newer versions of this developer-environment have improved even more in many aspects. Nevertheless this issue is off-topic for our mailing list, as it has low to none impact to mingw-w64 AFAICS. As there is no integration of our gcc into VS' IDE, I see here nothing worth to discuss further on this list about it.
