Just to confirm, I am using English on my system. "Region and Language" (from Control Panel) reports the language as "English (United States)". As far as I know, this is a default English installation, and I am not aware that I have ever done anything that would change the language settings. Also, the os is "Windows 7 Professional" and has been "upgraded" to "Service Pack 1". (As mentioned earlier, perhaps half the difference in Ruben and my delays is likely due to processor speed -- 1.6 vs. 3.2 GHz -- but this wouldn't seem to explain all of it.) > Regards > > Kai Thanks to everyone for looking into this.
