That's great news! If I may have a say in Qt's decision on a toolchain, I'd
suggest using MinGW-w64 exclusively. Why? MinGW.org only has 32-bit
support. Using it would mean having to communicate with two seperate
projects while with MinGW-w64 there's only one party to talk with (and a
responsive one at that ;-)). This may sound like shameless MinGW-w64
promotion, but... well... it is. A real reason to use MInGW-w64 is the
availability of more Windows API functions. MinGW.org is running behind on
that front. I don't know exactly which of those APIs may be useful for Qt,
but I'm sure it will simplify things in the long run.
