I think I was able to get the rubenvb compiler whitelisted on norton.  the 
64-bit one. 
I will see what happens when I re-download and re-scan again.

if you wish to whitelist your compiler with norton (in the past it has been 
removing the .7z files and the wininst-[7-9].0.exe you should contact norton 
directly. since some of you are building compilers, and may want distribution 
to work, this is something you should consider.

I thought it not good to share the whitelisting URL in a public mailing list.

for the gcc compilers that contain these particular files, the problem happens 
during filesystem read/write of files. you may need this information when 
submitting.
