Agreed. One thing to note is that most binaries are from NetBSD iirc. This means that while they might conform to some POSIX spec, it's probably form 10 to 15 years ago and they don't have additional features. SUA is a bit barebones because of that. Its GCC is also 3.x afaiu. It was fine 5 years ago but nowadays that hurts a lot. That said, it so much lighter than Cygwin and MSYS. However it relies on a Windows service and while you can copy cygwin1.dll along your application, redistributing SUA-built applications requires users to install that service and it's something much bigger and which requires more persmissions. > I never got it functioning correctly, and it's terrible to use at best due > to its age.
