Hi all,
On the Sourceforge page for mingw64 (
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw-w64/) the is a download button. On
Sourceforge, this "default" download is usually reserved for the most
common download, the file(/archive) that most people looking to use this
software are going to want. For mingw64 I would expect it to be the x86-x86
compiler suite. Instead, it is a 7 MB file (named
mingw-w64-v3.1.0.tar.bz2). When I opened it I couldn't even figure out what
it is. Why/when/who would need this file? What is it? And why is it the
"default" download?
