there was a patch early this year (January 2014) to fix Windows XP
compatibility issues in Qt5. The problem was/is basically that sprintf_s is
not available in XP's Winapi and running Qt5 executables fail with an error
message that symbol of sprintf_s is not found.
As far as I understand the patch is currently in trunk with commit r6469.
I was wondering now, what the branch guidelines or release cycles are? I
haven't found anything in the documentation. The driver of this question
is, when this fix will be considered for stable? I would highly appreciate
it, if this fix can be merged into stable soon.
I'm using the builds from MinGW-builds usually and they build stable. Hence
the fix isn't in there yet. In worst case I would have to build MinGW
myself, but I want to avoid that if possible.
