This is just a follow up from a little discussion with jon_y.
I am working on trying to get libvlc built statically for WinRT and WP8
For this I have to add support for building static libs in mingw-w64 that
work with visual studio.
I was told that I should build a separate library called libmingwex-msvc.a
and that I should use ifdefs to ensure functions MSVCRT already implements
don't end up in this new lib.
I was to just as for a suggested name for this define and if there are any
other considerations i need to take into account before submitting the
patch.
I cross posted this to vlc WinRT list so that the devs there know that this
being added.
