I had a similar problem back in November in that the installer
didn't work (on 64-bit windows 7).  I don't remember the details.

If you want posix threads and SEH exceptions, one possibility
for the latest and greatest would be the compressed file:

   x86_64-5.1.0-release-posix-seh-rt_v4-rev0.7z

downloadable from the sourceforge folder with url:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw-w64/files/Toolchains%20targetting%20Win64/Personal%20Builds/mingw-builds/5.1.0/threads-posix/seh/

I did the equivalent back in November for the 4.9.2 version.
(Note, I haven't actually used the 5.1.0 version, but I assume
that it works.)

There are other possibilities (different builds, different
configuration choices): see the sourceforge folder:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw-w64/files/Toolchains%20targetting%20Win64/Personal%20Builds/

You could follow, for example, the "mingw-builds" link there
and pick your desired configuration / version as you navigate
down to the downloadable file.

Happy 64-bit g++ Hacking!
