I was attempting to do a download of the program using the link given directly
above the director table https://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw-w64/files/
after downloading and attempting to use the installer "hitting next once" I
received the message "cannot download repository.txt [0]" (window header is
"installing MinGW-W64")this appears a few seconds after the smaller box stating
"getting repository description file" shows up on screen. (this box remains on
screen)clicking OK on the error box terminates the installer.
attempting on Windows 10. on 64bit OS.
